I find my thoughts and feelings fluctuating rapidly. Here are some of the things that have gone through my head in the past hour:
I am gleeful that my computer is working again! I can't believe how after everything else fails slapping something on your palm fixes it.
I should go for a run.
I should go to my office and complete lesson plans.
The Chinese will cook and eat anything...and somehow make it taste good.
I miss cheese.
Does my sweat really smell like sour milk since I eat dairy products?
Everyone is pregnant.
I have been cold for 77 hours straight.
I want to stay in bed all day.
I want to see ALL of China.
I didn't know someone could pleasure an ear. Ear cleaning is a very interesting business.
I can't believe rats are kept at bay in the middle of the night by hearing bad Chinese war TV shows.
I am so glad I have a rat problem rather than a spider problem. That I could not live with.
I am so thankful for my kind neighbors.
Yong qi has expensive massages. What a let down.
Xylitol is good for my teeth. So is tea.

Yeah,...um, I don't know where to begin...
What did you eat recently that surprised you by tasting good?
They don't have cheese there?
Did someone say your sweat smells? Do they not eat any dairy there?
Who's pregnant? Do tell.
Is your new place colder than your last? That's no good.
And I don't even know what to say about the ear thing.
Miss you.
Kara Jo, in response to your comment:
1. Scorpions and fat. Two things that I would think are disgusting made to taste good in China.
2. They do have cheese, but it's uber expensive, so I rarely buy it.
3. I was reading a book where the author (a Brit) is told by her Chinese friends that her sweat smells. I've also read that in other places. And they eat little dairy here as many Chinese people don't have the digestive systems to handle it.
4. Kara P., Tara I., Sara S., Bria J., Kelly S., Laura K., Angelie P.,and someone I can't name cause they're not sharing yet are all pregnant. (Some of those have just recently given birth, but they were on my mind when I wrote this blog post.) Okay, that's not everybody, but it's still a lot to me.
5. I'm not in my new place yet (still!), but it is colder than my current place as it has no heat. At least now I have heat, even if it doesn't keep me completely warm.
6. And the ear thing...I don't know first hand about this, but have seen ear cleaners offering their services in Chengdu, Sichuan during a Peking Opera performance.
